Floer has achieved a high ranking of 314th on the FT1000 list for the second year in a row. This marks the 7th time that The Financial Times has presented the FT1000: Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies list. After ranking 152nd last year, this is the second consecutive listing for Floer in the same list.
FT1000: Europe’s fastest-growing companies
The FT1000 list is an annual ranking of the 1,000 fastest-growing companies in Europe, compiled by the Financial Times and research firm Statista. To qualify for a listing on the FT1000, companies must meet certain criteria. They must be based in Europe, and are assessed on revenue and staff growth over a three-year period.
Floer is the fastest-growing wholesaler in the Netherlands
Flooring brand and wholesaler Floer ranks 314th on the FT1000 list and is one of 14 Dutch companies listed. Moreover, it is the only wholesaler from the Netherlands to make the list of Europe’s fastest-growing companies, based in Groningen.
Floer in the FT1000 list
“It’s quite an honor to be on The Financial Times: FT1000 list,” says Lennart Groenewold, founder of Floer. “In recent years, we’ve managed to establish a strong market position by combining a unique marketing concept with our special Floer products. We couldn’t have achieved this without our exclusive customer network, so we’re very proud of it. At the same time, it also prompts us to look beyond our national borders and explore the opportunities they bring. Of course, we must continue to innovate and renew ourselves.”
Floer has established itself as a youthful and innovative flooring brand in the Netherlands and has built a strong reputation over the years. This is evidenced by several awards and recognitions, including being named FD Gazelle for three years in a row and securing a spot among the FT1000 nominations for two consecutive years. Additionally, the popular flooring brand is active in Belgium and shows no signs of slowing its growth.
“We are constantly seeking innovation in flooring and wall coverings, and incorporating interesting trends into our collections, which allows us to evolve in many ways both literally and figuratively across borders,” says Lennart. “Currently, we are working hard on expanding the Floer premises. By April, we will have an additional 2000 m2 of warehouse space with an extra loading dock. This expansion was necessary because, after two years at this location, the space was already becoming too small.”
