Even though it may feel like the new year has just begun, at Floer we like to stay ahead of the game. Hence, we are thrilled to introduce another new collection: Akucork Wall Panels. That’s right, Akucork! If you haven’t heard of them before, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered 😉. Let’s dive in and explore these intriguing Wall Panels!

Akucork Wall Panels

With sustainability being one of the top trends and one of our top priorities, we wanted to bring a natural atmosphere into our range even more. So we are proud to introduce our new Akucork Wall Panels that come in 4 different colors: Tree Bark Untreated, Tree Bark Black, Stone Trip Light Brown and Sandstone Natural. Each of these options offer a unique design, allowing you to get creative and transform your space in any way you want. And don’t think that these wall panels are only designed to look ‘eco-friendly’, they are made from cork and 100% tree bark. But no worries, no trees were harmed during this process, we love the nature as much as you do 😊. Besides looking beautiful and being sustainable, the Akucork Wall Panels are also great in absorbing sound and have an insulating effect. Are you wondering how these panels differ from Acoustic Wall Panels? Continue reading to find out!

Installation process

We always aim to make things as easy as possible for you and inspire your inner do-it-yourselfer. The new natural wall panels are no exception. The first step is, of course, to decide how much of the wall you want to cover. Do you like the natural look so much that you want to have it on your whole wall? Not a problem! All you need to do is place the wall panels next to each other and cut them if needed. You can simply attach them by using Floer’s High Tack Adhesive Sealant. The sealant will secure the wall panels and ensure that they won’t fall in the middle of the night 💪.

Akucork vs Acoustic Wall Panels

Generally, both of these panels share similar qualities such as sound absorption and sustainability. But there are also a few differences that are worth mentioning. The most obvious difference is their appearance. While Acoustic wall panels vary in color, the Akucork panels differ in unique designs and also have a 3D effect which intensifies the acoustic effect even more! In addition, although both of them have the same width, the cork wall panels are much shorter measuring only 60 cm in height. Apart from their appearance, the biggest difference between these wall panels is the production method. Even though they are both made in an eco-friendly manner, cork panels are made solely from cork while acoustic panels are made from various types of trees, depending on the product. And most importantly, the Akucork panels are completely handmade which is pretty impressive. At least, we think so!
