There are various types of vinyl floors with different patterns. We offer vinyl floors in the Dryback version and vinyl floors with a Click connection. Both floors have their own unique advantages. The Floer Dryback Vinyl floors has to be glued directly onto a flat surface. As this construction is minimal, the heat resistance is also very low. This makes Dryback Vinyl most beneficial in combination with underfloor heating. Click Vinyl, as the name suggests, the floorboards are clicked together with a strong click connection. These Click Vinyl floors must be installed floating over a suitable Click Vinyl subfloor. The Click Vinyl floors are also very suitable for surfaces that have underfloor heating.

Both floors have their own unique collections, such as the extra large Tile Vinyl floors or the Herringbone Click Vinyl floors. These floors are indistinguishable from a real laminate parquet. Curious about all the differences? Then read the Floer blog ‘The differences between Dryback Vinyl and Click Vinyl floor‘.

When can you walk on the Vinyl floor?

People often ask us when can they walk on their new Vinyl floor. Most confusion occurs with glued Vinyl floors. However, there is no need to be confused as you can walk on a Vinyl floor almost immediately after the installation! In some cases, a Vinyl floor is installed over a self-adhesive subfloor, but even with this method of installation, you do not have to wait to use your new beautiful floor. In short: when can you walk on a Vinyl floor? Whether it is a Click Vinyl or Dryback Vinyl floor, you can walk on it immediately! This is also regardless of the floor pattern. Herringbone Vinyl floors or Whalebone Vinyl floors can be walked on immediately as well as Dryback Vinyl floors and Click Vinyl floors. Later in this blog we will tell you more about floors that are suitable for a heavier foot traffic and that fall into a high usage class.

We hope that now it is clear that you can immediately walk on a Vinyl floor after it has been laid. So, the next question is: can you put a heavy cupboard or a dining table on it immediately? In principle, you can put furniture on a vinyl floor almost immediately on one condition. You need to completely roll out the  Dryback Vinyl after installation. This ensures that any air bubbles are removed and the floorboards fully adhere to the subfloor. Make sure that you have vacuumed the floor beforehand. We don’t want any waste in the floor, do we?

With the Click Vinyl floors you can also place the furniture directly on the floor. However, it is important that the surface is even, just as with Dryback Vinyl floors. As the floor elements are very heavy, uneven subfloors should not unnecessarily stress the Click connection. If you meet these requirements, you will receive a warranty of 15 to 35 years!

Floer tips!

We recommend that you use felt pads under your furniture. The felt pads will prevent unnecessary scratches, for example when moving a heavy wardrobe. It is also a good idea to use a doormat at the front door. This will prevent small stones and grains of sand from landing on the walkway. It also saves cleaning!
