Waterproof floors

With children in the house, it’s always something that falls, whether it’s a toy from the cupboard or a glass of drink. But what kind of flooring can stand up to moisture? It’s good to know that laminate flooring is not completely waterproof. But can laminate not withstand water at all? Yes, it can! Most laminate floors are water resistant for up to 4 hours, while our Authentic Laminate floors are water resistant for up to 48 hours. In contrast, vinyl floors are completely waterproof, which is nice!

Scratch resistant floors

We don’t need to tell you that the floor in the children’s room needs to be able to take a knock and be highly scratch-resistant. So, which floors are scratch-resistant? Both laminate and vinyl floors are extremely scratch resistant and suitable for intensive domestic use. This means you can be assured of a hard-wearing floor on which children can play freely. Did you know that our herringbone laminate flooring is even suitable for heavy commercial use? So your child can play with a toy bulldozer without worrying. Of course, a real bulldozer would be a bit ambitious!

Low-maintenance floors

As a parent, you already have enough to do, especially when it comes to cleaning. So you probably don’t want a floor that requires a lot of maintenance. A parquet floor needs to be treated with special cleaners or oil over time. But do you still want a real wood floor without the maintenance? Then choose Hybrid Wood. These are real wood floors that are very easy to maintain. No special cleaners or maintenance kits are required. Just a mop and lukewarm water and you’re done!

We understand that moving or renovating can be a big expense, which is why we’re here to help. A new floor is often a big investment and sometimes you may want to consider laying the floor yourself. It is therefore a good idea to think about whether you want to do it yourself or have it done. A common question is: can you lay vinyl flooring yourself? It depends on the type of vinyl and how handy you are. We always recommend that you use a professional installer for adhesive vinyl flooring as it can be a difficult job if you have no experience. Click vinyl floors, on the other hand, can be installed by yourself. These floors have a click connection, making installation similar to that of a laminate floor.

Finishing the children’s room

Do you want to complete the children’s room? Then choose Floer not only for the floor, but also for the walls. Floer offers acoustic wall panels, such as Akupanel and Akucork panels. These panels not only improve insulation, but also acoustics. And why not treat yourself and install these wall panels not only in the children’s room, but also in the living room or bedroom?
